Everyone desires a healthy lifestyle and a fit body but do we really put our efforts into achieving and sustaining that body?

We all make our new year resolutions and getting in perfect shape is one of them. We get the membership of the gym, we go a couple of days and then we stop.

Do you know why people quit? Because they don’t get those chisel cut abs that they see on the gym’s wallpapers. And they give up their dreams, their efforts and yes obviously their money!

All we need to understand is that you need to put time, energy, money, pain, stress and yeah focus to achieve the body you want. The pictures you see on the gym’s wallpaper are of those people who have gone through some of the worst days of their life to become what they are, now.

Everybody has to start somewhere. Find your place and just don’t stop till you achieve your body fitness goal.

In this article I’ve talked about my personal body change or transformation from skinny to brawny within a span of 1.5 years.

Let me start by telling my body configuration before I started working out, so you can estimate changes.

Height: 182~183 cm.

Weight: 52-53 kgs.

Biceps: 8 inches.

Chest: 32 inches (yeah you read it correctly, 32 inches!)

Vest: 28 inches.

BMI: 16 (underweight, moderate thinness)

The day I stepped into the gym everybody used to mock me by saying “ there is no lighter dumble than 2.5 kg”. It was a tough time getting through with all those criticism and mocking.

The first month was hardest to pass by, getting into a daily routine was harder than lifting weight. I learned the names of types of equipment, exercises, and common muscles. My trainer was very helpful and supportive during those days(he still is), he never demotivated me but on the other hand, he used to boost up my confidence and keep me motivated throughout the workout sessions.

From the second month, I started lifting a little more weight than I used to a month ago. At the end of the third month, I started doing compound lifts. During the fourth month, a few of my muscles got torn up, and had bruises on my chest till the fifth month started. The sixth month ended up with a heavy diet of carbs and fat.

Moving fast forward, I’ve achieved the body I wanted. I feel confident whether I’m in a shirt or shirtless, I no more hide my biceps with a full sleeves t-shirt and now a t-shirt and denim jeans look just fine and even better than a year or so ago!

Now have a glance at my transformed appearance;

Height: 182~183 cm (same)

Weight: 70 kgs

Biceps: 15.5~16 inch(almost double)

Chest: 43 inches (11 inch gain, yeah!)

Vest: 28 inches (same to keep a V-shape)

BMI: 21.6 (perfectly normal)

Apart from this, now, I can pull equal to my weight, lift 2× my weight, and can push around 3× my own weight.

Afterthought: My body may not be that good as compared to other people but yeah it is far good than I used to have and I love it right now. I don’t wanna compare myself with others but with myself.
